How it works:

• Readers will make their prediction on the date and amount of Scottsbluff's measurable first snowfall (defined as greater than one inch) and measured by the National Weather Service (NWS) at Western Nebraska Regional Airport.
• Contest begins on November 1 and runs until Scottsbluff receives its first measurable snowfall.
• The winner will be the contestant who guesses the closest to the correct date and is then closest to the recorded amount in inches.
• In the event of a tie, the earlier guess wins.

No entries made within 72 hours of midnight on the day of the first snowfall are eligible

Can I still play if the contest has already started?

 Yes. As long as it is still within the prediction period.
